Starting from October 1, 2025, Amazon will introduce 11 new fee categories and update existing ones in Germany, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, and Ireland. In some countries, categories will be merged or split; affected products will be automatically reassigned. The fee rates themselves will not change, but the actual cost per product may shift due to the adjustment of categories. The aim is a more accurate assignment of ASINs for greater transparency in the fee structure.
What do sellers need to consider?
Early review of your top ASINs: Identify your best-selling products by the end of August 2025 at the latest and compare their current and potentially new categories. Check if there will be any fee changes starting October 1 and, if necessary, implement assortment controlling and price adjustments.
Establish tool-supported monitoring: Use Amazon tools such as the “Fee Overview” and insights for ASIN categorization. This allows you to quickly respond to margin shifts and ensure long-term profitability.
Optimize your product portfolio: Take advantage of the new category structure to better position your assortment. Check whether additional products can be placed in more profitable categories to gain competitive advantages.
