Starting November 3, 2026, the Amazon VAT Transaction Report (AVTR) will no longer be available only on the third day of the following month. Instead, it can be requested already in the current month. The data covers transactions up to three days before the respective request date.

At the same time, Amazon is introducing two new columns: TRANSACTION_UPDATED_DATE shows which transactions have been changed since the last download. The column GOV_INVOICE_ID contains government e-invoice numbers and, for now, is relevant exclusively for Poland as part of the KSeF system.

For sellers who prepare their bookkeeping or tax reports on a monthly basis, this means more flexibility and faster data availability—without having to wait for the following month.

What do sellers need to consider?

  • Request and update the report anytime: The report always contains transaction data only up to three days before the request date. For example, if you request it on the 20th of a month, you’ll receive data up to the 17th. If new data is added later for a period that has already been downloaded, you can request the report again to get the most up-to-date version.

  • Use TRANSACTION_UPDATED_DATE strategically: The new column shows the date when a transaction was last updated. If you download the AVTR multiple times during the month, you can use this to identify incremental updates and you don’t need to reprocess the entire dataset. According to Amazon, it captures both newly added and changed transactions.

  • GOV_INVOICE_ID is relevant for Poland only for now: The new column for government e-invoice numbers is currently populated exclusively for transactions within the Polish KSeF system (Krajowy System e-Faktur). Amazon plans to expand it to other countries later. Sellers active in the Polish marketplace or fulfilling orders to Poland should check whether their accounting software can already process this identifier, as KSeF is a statutory requirement in Poland.
