Amazon warehousing and distribution (AWD) is now available in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. The program offers sellers long-term storage of large quantities for a flat fee in Amazon fulfillment centers, as well as automatic replenishment for FBA fulfillment centers across Europe.
Especially attractive: From October 1 to December 31, 2026, the AWD warehousing fee will be fully waived for all eligible inventory in European AWD distribution centers. Receiving, outbound, and transportation charges continue to apply at standard rates. Starting January 1, 2027, storage fees will apply again on a regular basis.
If you want to use AWD to prepare for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you must have shipped your inventory to the AWD distribution centers by October 7, 2026, and created an AWD-to-FBA replenishment shipment by October 10, 2026.
What do sellers need to keep in mind?
Flat-rate pricing without long-term commitment: AWD charges a single storage price regardless of how long the inventory is stored, with no long-term contract obligations. From October 1 to December 31, 2026, the storage fee is completely waived. Receiving, outbound, and transportation charges continue to be billed at standard rates. Starting in January 2027, the regular storage fee applies again.
Meet the peak-season deadlines: To ensure that AWD inventory can be forwarded to FBA fulfillment centers on time, the inventory must have arrived at the AWD distribution centers by October 7, 2026. The AWD replenishment shipment to FBA must be created by October 10, 2026. If you miss these deadlines, you risk stockouts during the year’s highest-revenue period.
Automatic replenishment reduces manual effort: AWD automatically replenishes FBA inventory as soon as defined threshold levels are reached. This reduces the risk of stockouts without manual restocking. Sellers who also use other eligible Amazon services receive discounts on warehousing and transportation costs.
