Amazon has changed the standard processing time for sellers in the USA and UK. The previously standard 2-day option has been removed and replaced with a 1-day processing time. This means that orders must now be prepared and shipped much faster, unless individual times are set. Several industry sources also report that, starting October 27, 2025, a 0-day processing time will automatically be activated for selected sellers – meaning orders must be shipped the same day.

What do sellers need to consider?

  • Actively check shipping templates: Check in Seller Central which processing times are currently set. Since the standard 2-day option has been removed, 1 day now applies automatically. Only through regular monitoring can incorrect settings and resulting shipping violations be avoided.

  • Set longer processing times individually: If your processes require more time, such as for personalized products or complex warehouse logistics, you should actively set a longer processing time per SKU. This way, you can avoid cancellations, negative reviews, and keep your seller performance stable.

  • Monitor 0-day conversion: Starting October 27, 2025, Amazon can automatically switch certain sellers to 0 days. Afterward, regularly check your templates, as Amazon can revert the processing time back to 1 day if the requirements for 0 days are not consistently met.
