Amazon has introduced a new feature in single offer creation that’s available on both desktop and mobile devices. When uploading a main image, Amazon automatically checks it for common violations of the image guidelines: not a white background, text, logos, graphics, and watermarks.

If a violation is detected, a notification appears directly on the image tile. Sellers then have three options: use an image corrected by Amazon (if available), upload their own compliant image, or confirm the issue and fix it later. Without taking one of these actions, the offer cannot be submitted.

If sellers postpone the correction, they risk the listing being hidden from search. The rollout is being implemented in stages, so the feature isn’t yet visible to all sellers at the same time.

What do sellers need to watch out for?

  • Automatic image checks before submission: Amazon automatically checks the main image during upload for five specific violations: not a white background, text, logos, graphics, and watermarks. The offer can only be submitted once the violation has been fixed or actively confirmed. This applies to single offer creation.

  • Three ways to respond to a violation: If an Amazon-corrected image is available, it can be applied right away. Alternatively, you can upload your own compliant image. The third option is to confirm the problem for later resolution. If you choose this confirmation, you can submit the offer, but you risk it being hidden from search results until the image is corrected.

  • Check image quality in your catalog now: Since this feature only covers new single listings, existing offers with non-compliant main images are initially unaffected. It’s recommended to proactively review your current catalog for image violations, because according to Amazon, non-compliant main images can lead to offers being hidden in search.
