Starting November 5, 2025, Amazon in Germany is capping the variable fees for coupons at €300 per coupon. The variable rate will be reduced from 1.5% to 0.75%, while the upfront fee of €4 per coupon will remain unchanged. These adjustments were introduced shortly before Black Friday and Cyber Monday to help sellers plan their holiday campaigns.
What do sellers need to be aware of?
Recreate existing coupons: Only coupons created from November 5 onward are subject to the new fees with the €300 cap and 0.75% variable fee. Existing promotions should be deactivated and recreated from this date to benefit from the more favorable terms.
Use coupons as an alternative: If Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals are not approved, coupons can be activated on short notice. The prominent green offer button increases visibility and coupons can be strategically used to boost CTR and CR.
Keep an eye on the promotion period: Amazon has not yet confirmed whether the reduced coupon fees will be permanent or will be adjusted again after Black Week.
