The Amazon Partnered Carrier Program is an optional service through which inbound shipments to European fulfillment centers can be booked at rates negotiated by Amazon. As of May 1, 2025, the fees will be adjusted: for most shipping methods, costs will decrease by an average of 8%. Domestic parcels within Germany as well as cross-border parcels between several EU markets benefit the most. At the same time, fees for domestic parcels in France and Italy will increase moderately.

What should sellers pay attention to?

  • Reassess the program: Since many fees are dropping by up to 9%, it is worth doing a new cost comparison: compare your own freight forwarder or parcel conditions with the new Partnered Carrier rates and recalculate the total cost per shipment.

  • Optimize your shipping strategy: Cross-border shipping (DE ↔ UK/FR/IT/ES) becomes more attractive with 6% lower fees. Inventory should, if necessary, be consolidated centrally, and cross-border restocking should preferably be booked through the program.

  • Keep an eye on France & Italy: For domestic parcels in FR and IT, the additional costs of €0.07 per unit can reduce your margin. Using larger shipping boxes or switching to LTL/FTL (-9%) reduces the unit cost and often offsets the surcharge.
