Starting from August 1, 2025, Amazon will require sellers with a German business address to provide certified packaging dimensions for FBA products. Between August 1 and September 30, affected sellers will receive an email prompting them to review or update their dimensions. The measurements must be taken using EU-compliant measuring devices and will serve as the basis for fee calculation—otherwise, Amazon will use its own values.

What do sellers need to consider?

  • Enter dimensions correctly in the catalog: Record and input packaging dimensions early and accurately to prevent Amazon from using its own, possibly higher, values for calculation.

  • Have discrepancies in dimensions corrected: If Amazon enters its own, deviating larger dimensions, sellers can request a review and re-measurement—this can help avoid unnecessarily high FBA fees (type “remeasure” in the search bar, then the “Fulfillment by Amazon” widget will appear to have the product remeasured and confirm fees).
