Amazon is once again increasing shipping fees for the Christmas peak on selected FBA orders in Germany and the United Kingdom. The period runs from October 15, 2026 to January 14, 2027.
In Germany, the average surcharge is €0.27 per item for small parcels and standard parcels via local FBA, Pan-EU, the European Shipping Network, and long-distance shipping from the UK to the EU. In the United Kingdom, the fee averages 0.12 £ per parcel-item, or 0.07 £ per item for large or extra-large envelopes. In addition, a fuel and logistics surcharge of 1.5% applies.
Oversize items, FBA low-price items, and shipments to other EU countries are exempt from the peak fee. You can already check the fees in the revenue calculator and the Amazon Shipping fee preview report in Seller Central.
What do sellers need to consider?
Fee level by shipping route: In Germany, the peak surcharge averages €0.27 per item and applies to local FBA, Pan-EU, the European Shipping Network, and UK-to-EU long-distance shipping. In the UK, 0.12 £ applies per parcel-item, or 0.07 £ per item for large or extra-large envelopes. On top of that, a 1.5% fuel and logistics surcharge is added to the total shipping fee.
Know the exceptions and use them: Oversize items, FBA low-price items, and orders shipped to buyers in other EU countries are exempt from the peak fee. So, for example, if you sell inexpensive small products via the FBA low-price program, you won’t pay the surcharge—and you should check whether switching to this program before October makes sense.
