Kaufland.es has been live since October 6, 2026 as Kaufland’s ninth country marketplace. At launch, more than 3,100 retailers with over 10 million products from more than 6,400 categories were already onboard.
The monthly base fee is 39.95 euros (Basic plan) or 59.95 euros (Plus plan), plus VAT, and it applies to all Kaufland marketplaces combined. The commission, depending on the category, ranges from 7 to 16 percent. For selling in Spain, an EPR number for packaging is also legally required.

The commission is calculated on the gross selling price including shipping and, in Spain as in Germany, ranges from 7 to 16 percent depending on the category; for media items it is 13 percent plus 0.70 euros per item. Before entering the market, you should calculate your own margin based on the Spanish commission rates, as these can vary significantly depending on your assortment.
Market potential and timing: According to Kaufland, Spain is Europe’s fifth-largest e-commerce market, with around 38 billion euros in e-commerce revenue—and a large share of that is already running through marketplaces. Entering early shortly after the launch can give retailers the opportunity to establish themselves in search results before competition increases. Existing Kaufland retailers, according to Kaufland, can also start selling in Spain with just a few clicks.
