Amazon has clarified that there are no changes to payment options for advertisers. A previously sent communication about upcoming adjustments had caused confusion among some advertisers—but this message only affected a small, specific group and does not apply generally. Advertisers can continue to use all previous payment methods: seller or vendor account balances, debit or credit cards, as well as—if eligible—payment by invoice. No action is required.

What do sellers need to be aware of?

  • No action required: Payment options for Amazon Ads remain unchanged. If you received the earlier communication and were unsure whether changes were necessary, you can continue using your existing payment methods as usual—no adjustments are necessary.

  • Check account settings for security: Even though no changes have occurred, it’s recommended to briefly review the payment methods saved in your Ads account and ensure that credit cards or accounts have not expired, to prevent disruptions to ongoing campaigns.

  • Read Amazon communications carefully: This incident shows how important it is to review official Amazon communications for the intended recipient group. Messages that explicitly address only a small group should not be interpreted as a general change—when in doubt, check Seller or Vendor Central.
