Amazon is now introducing new attribute requirements for jewelry listings. Sellers must now classify their jewelry items as “fine jewelry” or “fashion jewelry”. Newly created listings without this classification will be hidden. Additional attributes such as luster and metal stamp are also required.
What do sellers & vendors need to consider?
Ensure visibility: New jewelry listings should promptly be provided with the attribute “jewelry_material_categorization” and classified as either “fine jewelry” or “fashion jewelry” to prevent them from being hidden. This way, your listings remain visible and their discoverability in search is improved.
Update attributes: Check and add mandatory attributes for pearls and metals such as luster and metal stamp to meet current standards and ensure uninterrupted product presentation.
Consider your entire catalog: Provide attributes not only for new products but also for existing listings, as Amazon is intensifying validations and these details will eventually become mandatory for older offers as well. Update your entire catalog now to avoid future ranking losses or possible delistings.
