Amazon is expanding the requirements for the program Pan-European Shipping through Amazon: Starting on February 26, 2027, all products (new and existing) must also have an active offer in Belgium when registering in order to continue benefiting from the pan-European advantages.
As of September 3, 2026, a corresponding requirement will apply for the Netherlands. If you don’t list your catalog on both marketplaces in time, you risk losing Pan-EU participation. Amazon states it will notify sellers at least 30 days before the requirements take effect.
The stores amazon.se, amazon.ie, and amazon.pl will remain optional and are not mandatory for program participation.
What do sellers need to keep in mind?
Two deadlines, two new mandatory marketplaces: Starting September 3, 2026, an active offer on amazon.nl is required, and starting February 26, 2027, amazon.be will be added. If you don’t have an active listing on the respective marketplaces at these points in time, you cannot register for Pan-EU participation (any longer) or you will lose existing benefits such as Amazon’s automatic inventory distribution.
An active offer means more than just a listing: Amazon requires an active offer—meaning a listing with a valid price, available inventory, and an active status. An inactive or suppressed offer isn’t sufficient. Sellers should set up their listings on amazon.nl and amazon.be well in advance, enter prices in the local currency, and make sure there are no listing errors or suppressed listings.
Sweden, Ireland, and Poland remain optional: The stores amazon.se, amazon.ie, and amazon.pl are not mandatory for Pan-EU participation. Sellers who want to expand their catalog strategically can use these marketplaces voluntarily, but they don’t have to. The focus now should be on preparing the mandatory marketplaces in the Netherlands and Belgium to avoid putting the program benefits at risk.
