Amazon is expanding shipping through Amazon Export to more than 175 new destination countries. The rollout will take place in phases over 30 days and applies to all sellers that have already enabled FBA Export.

Existing FBA Export users will have the new destination countries automatically enabled within eight days unless certain countries or products were previously manually disabled. These will remain in the list of restricted countries and can be adjusted at any time. Sellers that have not used FBA Export so far are not affected by this change.

Amazon handles shipping and customs clearance completely. Buyers pay the shipping costs and any applicable duties themselves. For sellers, no additional costs result from the expansion.

What do sellers need to know?

  • Automatic activation for existing users: If you already have FBA Export enabled, the new destination countries will be automatically unlocked within eight days. Exception: Countries or products that were previously manually disabled will remain disabled and must be re-included if needed.

  • Check and adjust restricted countries: Disabled countries are listed in the restricted countries in the export settings. Since the automatic activation should already be completed, sellers should now check which countries they are exporting to and exclude any unwanted markets in a targeted way.

  • No extra costs, but consider product eligibility: The expansion does not create any additional fees for sellers. Shipping costs and duties are paid by the buyer. However, you should verify whether all exported products meet the requirements of the new destination markets, because although Amazon handles customs clearance, product compliance remains the seller’s responsibility.
