Redcare Pharmacy, the group behind Shop Apotheke, has updated its guidelines for invoice processing. The reason is the statutory e-invoicing requirement: starting January 1, 2027, companies with prior-year revenue of more than €800,000 for domestic B2B sales must issue structured e-invoices.
For these e-invoices, Redcare requires sending them via the Peppol network. All other invoices—i.e., those below the revenue threshold or transactions that are not affected—continue to be submitted by email to accounts payable.
What do suppliers need to consider?
Who is affected starting in 2027: The e-invoicing requirement applies to suppliers that achieved total revenue of more than €800,000 in the previous year. Below this threshold, submitting by email remains permitted. Suppliers should review their prior-year revenue to determine whether they are required to issue structured e-invoices as of January 1, 2027.
Peppol as the mandatory channel for e-invoices: Redcare Pharmacy accepts structured e-invoices exclusively via the Peppol network. If you don’t yet have a Peppol connection, you should set it up early.
Separate points of contact for each invoice type: Redcare distinguishes between goods-related invoices with a purchase order and invoices for services or goods without a purchase order. For both categories, there are separate contacts in the accounts payable department of the Shared Service Center in Sevenum. Suppliers should ensure that their accounting has the correct contact point to avoid delays in invoice approval.
